Our Story

It all started with a nine year old boy and a book. Being an avid reader and a born farmer I found a few books written by Joal Salatin which started my journey on eco-friendly, regenerative farming.

We are a small family farm nestled amongst the hills in Southern Lancaster County, where we see the deer graze in the twilight and hear the turkey gobbles in the morning. we are a grass based farm. At Gobblers Ridge Farm we use regenerative agriculture practices through, rotational grazing, silvopasutre, and good animal husbandry. We use no chemicals, antibiotics, hormones, or GMOs and do very minimal tillage.

Our farm is powered by two paint horses, "Robin and Rose", Who are very much an important team and family member, being with us since 2015 carrying feed and eggs, transportation, giving the children riding lessons, and giving customers hay rides.

We are all about humane animal practices, Our chickens run after grasshoppers, our pigs root in the dirt, our sheep and cows eat grass, Our animals breath fresh air in the summer and have dry comfortable shelters in the winter.

All of this is only possible because of you, our customer. We would like to give a heartfelt thank you for being a partner in making the world a better, healthier, happier place.

Please come and visit us and tell us what we do wrong and what we do right , because Gobblers Ridge Farm is the place where happy people and healthy food MEAT.
